What is a Meal Plan?
A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more at Simmons University. The Resident and Commuter Meal Plans may include Meal Swipes and Declining Balance Dining Points. Amounts of each vary depending on the plan you select. Meal Plans are loaded onto your student ID so there is no need to carry additional cards or cash.
Meal Swipes
Meal Swipes are used for admittance to the newly renovated, all-you-care-to-enjoy Bartol Dining. One Swipe is deducted from your plan for each visit. You may use up to six swipes per day at Bartol Dining.Meal Swipes at Fens Café and Common Grounds Café
Meal Swipes may be redeemed at Fens Café and Common Grounds Café for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Meal Swipe options are listed at each station. You can even use our mobile ordering app. Select the Meal Swipe menu to see items available. You may use up to three Meal Swipes per day at Fens Café and Common Grounds Café.
Declining Balance Points
Declining Balance Points are loaded onto your ID and can be used like a debit card at any of our locations.
- Use your DB Points to purchase a la carte selections at The Fens Café and Common Grounds Café.
- Use your DB Points to supplement your Meal Swipe option at The Fens Café and Common Grounds Café.
- Use your DB Points at Bartol Hall in place of a Meal Swipe and pay the posted door rate.
Guest Meal Swipes
Residents receive 10 Guest Meal Swipes each semester to treat family and friends.
